About Us

In the 1950's I was born into a military family, and duty to our country was always important to my family. I don't think there was any question that I would follow in my fathers foot steps. I joined the United States Air Force in the 1970's and never looked back. I then worked in the automotive industry before retiring at Offutt. After I retired I decided that the automotive industry was turning into a remove and replace career, so I decided to switch gears and go into plumbing, where repair is the life line. I went to work for a national leader in the plumbing and drain cleaning industry. I spent 14 years before I decided it was time to branch out on my own and run a more customer service oriented company. I went out and bought top notch equipment such as a $20,000 jetter. I wanted the jetter to meet my specifications and expectations so I tore it down and invested another $5,000 into modifications. I purchased four camera systems with locations ability, two large machines plumbing machines and four smaller in size. I have been cleaning drains for years and my last name is Smith, hence Drain Smith was the obvious name for our company.

The colors I chose to represent my company stand for my strong military background and my love for the American Flag. Starting out, many customers were skeptical of a small business such as Drain Smith. We focussed on providing outstanding customer service and guarentees for our work. Those that took the chance on us soon began singing our praise, and before long the business began to grow. Soon we were getting referrals from six different plumbing company's for there drain and sewer work. Apartment complex's soon started telling other complex's within there company, about our prices, fast response time and quality of work, and they began searching us out.
